ABOUT THOMAS ELWOOD

From my birth at St. Bernard's in the spring of 1960, to the devastating Jonesboro tornado in 1973. I graduated Jonesboro High School in the spring of 1978 and started at Arkansas State University in the fall of 1978 and graduating in the summer of 1982. I graduated with a bachelor vars in history with a minor in computer science. I started at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law in 1984. It didn't take me long to realize that my future was in Jonesboro. I returned to the family tree business to start my career. I have always been a part of the growth of Jonesboro and helping it face the challenges of a growing city, so I am familiar with what it takes to carry out the office of Mayor.
